Reports Directly to: Medical Consultant

Position Summary:

  • The Herbalist will work with a wide variety of plants and herbs to determine appropriate alternative methods of healing and natural forms of medications for patients/clients. The position-holder will treat a variety of physical conditions, illnesses and allergies by exploiting the human body’s self-healing capacities through a holistic use of plants in conjunction with medical knowledge. quotas. Ultimately, you’ll actively participate in the planning and execution of the company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects on the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep up with current trends and healing properties of plants and herbs.
  • Make physical examinations and assessments as well as plan and explain treatments requirements.
  • Use tiny doses of herbal remedies to aid the body to heal itself.
  • Advice patients/clients on how to use the remedies.
  • Liaise with and make referrals to the medical consultant and other healthcare professionals.
  • Undertake patient consultations to diagnose illnesses and conditions and to select appropriate remedies.
  • Gain information from patients about previous physical/medical history and symptoms.
  • Grow and produce herbal remedies.
  • Keep up to date with new research and development in the profession.
  • Manage stock levels.
  • Keep accurate confidential patient records.
  • Undertake research for product manufacturers and herbal growers.
  • Market and promote the AKAM Nature Care brand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Management.
