Industry knowledge and/or knowledge of natural and chemical formulations is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Familiarity with ISO and NAFDAC Compliance.

Position Summary:
This individual is responsible for ensuring the production plans and schedules are met in a timely fashion in accordance with all quality standards. Responsibilities will specifically be focused on supervision of production line employees, ensuring safety policies and procedures are met, and ensuring production SOP’s are followed. The post-holder will contribute to a positive team atmosphere and apply policies and guidelines in a fair and consistent manner. This position provides day-to-day support, is a resource for questions and clarification, and provides training and feedback to all production employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participation in Production Planning and Organization
Accurately evaluates achievement of production plan to objectives based on available resources.
Assigns tasks to employees according to their skills.
Transmits documents on time as well as reviews and approves production records.
Writes, reviews, and approves documents relevant to management activities (e.g., procedures, deviations,work instructions, master files, and validation reports).
Accurately assesses problems, analyses and evaluates options while making sound recommendations to improve productivity, solutions to issues affecting quality, and health and safety.
Rearranges production sequences according to planning needs.
Keeps deadlines and efficiently manages priorities.
Production Follow-up Activities
Maintain inventory and replenishment of all production supplies.
Ensures compliance of production lines, equipment, and premises.
Reviews production records for completeness and accuracy.
Approves critical production steps and accurately measures performance throughout work shifts.
Carefully verifies corrections to problems.
Ensures quality of production is maintained in keeping with costs and schedules.
Monitor the efficiency and quality of all production jobs.
Properly monitors compliance with prevailing standards as well as any workplace accident or incident.
Oversees and maintain safety practices in accordance with safe operations and in compliance with company policies.
Management of Production Employees
In conjunction with Human Resources, selects candidates, participates in the interview planning process, and actively participates in interviews.
Conduct safety and orientation training with new employees.
Objectively describes work tasks, regulatory requirements, company policies, and expectations.
Supports the team in order to meet objectives and established schedules.
Mobilizes employees to maintain and improve processes and performances.
Plans and facilitates team meetings.
Appropriately reassigns employees according to needs.
Supervise and assist in the training of production processes. Provide training, guidance and coaching to employees in a consistent and constructive manner.
Objectively evaluates employee performance and makes relevant recommendations on achievingperformance standards.
Develops and monitors employee development plans.
Develops, administers and monitors remedial action plan for poor performers, if applicable.
Conduct performance appraisals and communicate information to senior management.
Manage employee conduct or performance problems in a manner consistent with company policies while referring to the Human Resources for advice and consultation as needed.
